Coushatta Casino Resort Associates Donate to Local Community Service Facilities

KINDER, LA––In keeping with their Christmas gift-giving traditions, Coushatta Casino Resort associates made donations to support two local community service facilities: Allen Oaks Nursing & Rehab Center in Oakdale and Lighthouse Ministries, Inc. Pregnancy Care Center in Reeves.

Each year, associates in our Security and Transportation departments adopt a nursing home to bring Christmas gifts and spread holiday cheer to the residents; this year’s recipient was Allen Oaks. Every Allen Oaks resident received a “bag of goodies” with a blanket, crossword puzzle, playing cards, and personal care products. Elmo joined Santa and his merry band of elves for the gift delivery to the Oakdale facility.

Associates in our Slots and Finance departments collected funds throughout the year, with the sum spent to benefit residents of Lighthouse Ministries in Reeves. The gifts and items purchased were coordinated with the ministry’s director to ensure each resident receives what she needs for her personal use, as well as essentials for babies. This is the fourth year of Slots and Finance associates’ support to this facility.
