What brought you to Coushatta?
When I got old enough to look for a job, I got turned down everywhere I went. A government employee said my handicap was the reason for my disappointments. (Due to cancer, my arm was amputated when I was 3½ months old.) In 1995, someone asked me, "Why not try the casino?" Well, why not?! So I did. When I arrived to put in an application I wasn’t looked at any different, or asked any questions. I was told to report two mornings later to start.

Why do you stay?
Coushatta has been, and still gives me, a feeling of security and trust, and confidence to succeed at whatever I may do, or attempt to do. Working here for 20+ years, watching the casino grow, I still feel good about being here. A person must keep in mind, “If you don’t love life, life won’t love you back.”
