Coushatta Casino Resort Appoints New Director of Marketing, Robert “Bobby” Thornton

Kinder, LA––Coushatta Casino Resort has named Robert “Bobby” Thornton as its new Director of Marketing. Thornton comes to Coushatta most recently from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma as its Regional Marketing Director, and as Corporate Director of Promotions/Entertainment/Database at Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, Mississippi. He brings18 years of experience to his new position, having also served in the Lake Charles, Shreveport/Bossier City, Kenner, and Las Vegas, Nevada markets. As Coushatta Casino’s Director of Marketing, he will oversee all aspects of the resort’s marketing efforts including advertising, public relations and communications, database management, loyalty programs and promotions, travel and sales, call center and reservations, entertainment, and player development.

Thornton is a fencing enthusiast, having placed 5th in the United States, Division 2 Epée National Championship, and Regional Champion of the 5-state Southwest Section. He is also an avid football fan, following the New Orleans Saints, Texas A&M Aggies and the LSU Tigers. “I am delighted to be back in Southwest Louisiana,” he stated. “I enjoy the people, the culture, and the hospitality.
