Christmas Celebration in Koasati Plaza set for Friday

Coushatta Tribe Gets Christmas Season Started with Festivities, Tree Lighting

ELTON, LA––The Christmas season kicks off this Friday, Nov. 26, at 5 p.m., when the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana presents the inaugural Koasati Plaza Christmas Celebration!

Wind down after the "Black Friday" frenzy and enjoy live music, food, arts and crafts, fireworks, and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on the corner of Highway 190 and Pine St., in the heart of Elton, La. The event is free and open to the public.

Seasonal music will be provided by the University of Louisiana Lafayette School of Music faculty, under the direction of Michael S. Blaney, director of Orchestral Activities and Conductor of the ULL Symphony Orchestra.

The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana is the official sponsor of the 2010 Koasati Plaza Christmas Celebration.
