Coushatta Tribe Breaks Ground on New Hotel Expansion
Timeline in Progress for Opening in 2012
Kinder, LA—Members of the Coushatta Tribal Council and Coushatta Casino Resort General Manager Conrad Granito participated in a groundbreaking ceremony to officially mark the beginning of construction on the resort’s newest expansion, a 7-story 401-room hotel with 18 luxurious suites. The new hotel is designated as completely “non-smoking” for guests’ comfort and will include a lobby bar, coffeehouse café, and retail shop. It will be connected to the casino on the north side of the property, just steps away from the casino floor. This expansion increases capacity at Coushatta Casino Resort to over 950 rooms and creates additional employment opportunities for the region.
Tribal Chairman Kevin Sickey stated, “In this expansion, we are catering to our most loyal patrons so they can enjoy a more complete resort experience.” Coushatta Casino Resort’s General Manager Conrad Granito concurred, “This is definitely a major milestone for the growth and future of Coushatta Casino Resort.”
The new 7-story tower will introduce a uniquely deluxe lodging experience with its beautiful and inviting resort-style amenities. Complementing the standard features, each room will include a custom-designed mattress by Simmons® Beautyrest®, custom-designed linens by Valley Forge®, spa-inspired bath fixtures by KOHLER®, and a state-of-the-art 37” Panasonic® LCD flatscreen television. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2012.
