Coushatta Casino Resort Associates Make Donations to Vietnam Veterans of America to Benefit Foster and Underprivileged Children of Allen and Jeff Davis Parishes

December 17, 2010

Kinder, LA—As a community service, Associates of Coushatta Casino Resort and Koasati Pines Golf Course made donations of cash and new toys to Vietnam Veterans of America, benefiting foster and underprivileged children of Allen and Jeff Davis parishes. The contributions resulted from two employee fundraisers, a slot tournament and a golf tournament.

Casino General Manager Conrad Granito presented a check for $5,828 plus 44 new toys to Terry Courville, Louisiana State Vice President; Charles Fontenot, Chapter Treasurer; Cliff Gillespie, Chapter President; and Elliot Fontenot, Chapter Chaplain, of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 215.

“All toys and money donated benefit foster children and underprivileged children in Allen and Jeff Davis parishes,” stated Courville. “One hundred percent of it stays in these two parishes to help these kids.”

“Helping make the holidays better for these children is simply the right thing to do. We are very proud of our casino associates for their excellent fundraising efforts,” stated Granito.
