Boston and Styx Live! In Concert June 20 at Coushatta Casino Resort
Kinder, LA— Two of Rock’s most influential bands, Boston and Styx, will team up for a double bill in The Pavilion at Coushatta on Friday, June 20. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with showtime at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, and the Coushatta Box Office.
Boston released their self-titled debut album in 1976, and the disc still stands as the greatest selling debut record in history, with over 17 million units sold. Boston is best known for hits “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” “Amanda” and “Foreplay/Long Time,” plus “Don’t Look Back,” “Third Stage” and “Corporate America.” The summer tour will be the band’s first since the untimely death of founding vocalist Brad Delp. Stryper singer Michael Sweet will be handling vocal duties.
Styx began recording in the early ‘70s and scored a hit single with “Lady” in 1975, followed by their 1977 album, “Grand Illusion.” Some of the band’s biggest hits include “Come Sail Away,” “Blue Collar Man,” “Babe” and “Mr. Roboto.” The concept album masterpiece “Paradise Theatre” arrived with Top 10’s “Too Much Time On My Hands” and “The Best of Times.” “Too Much Time On My Hands” was also featured in the first hour of MTV’s initial broadcast.
