KINDER, LA––Grammy winner DARIUS RUCKER with special guest SETH ALLEY will perform in The Pavilion at Coushatta Casino Resort on Friday, May 5, 2017. Doors open at 6:30pm. Show starts at 8pm. Tickets on sale at Ticketmaster.com and at Coushatta Box Office, where Advantage Club members receive a $10 discount on national headliner concert tickets.

Former lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish in the 1990s, DARIUS RUCKER’s songs resonate with emotion, translating perfectly into the country music genre. His distinctive crooning vocals convey a wide range of emotions from deep anguish to unbridled joy. Hits like “Wagon Wheel,” “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” “Alright,” “Come Back Song,” and “Lost In You” invoke lyrical imagery and showcase a powerful, expressive voice.

Rucker won Best Country Solo Performance at the 2014 Grammy awards for his rendition of “Wagon Wheel.” He is the first solo African-American artist to chart a #1 Country hit since Charley Pride's “Night Games” in 1983. In 2009, he won the Country Music Association New Artist of the Year award, making him the first African American to do so since the award was introduced in 1981. Only one other African American has won at the CMAs: Charley Pride, who won Entertainer of the Year in 1971 and Male Vocalist in 1971 and 1972.

SETH ALLEY’s self-titled EP debuted in 2014 with the release of four songs: “Things We Don’t Talk About,” “Me & The Boys,” “Waiting on Mary,” and “White Dress.”
