Coushatta Casino Resort’s Off-Track Betting Parlor Now Open

Kinder, LA—On Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at 12:00 noon, Coushatta Casino Resort’s newest gaming amenity began accepting wagers in its off-track betting parlor, located in Gumbeaux’s Oysters & Sports Bar. Guests can now watch and wager on racetracks from coast to coast, including Saratoga, Del Mar, Louisiana Downs, Evangeline Downs, and Gulf Greyhounds. Programs are just $1 per track and players will receive complimentary coffee and soft drinks.

The first players to place wagers were Jeff Racca of Leesville, Louisiana, Gardner Thomas from Anacoco, Louisiana, and Tony Ely from Houston, Texas. Racca was delighted, saying, “This is great! My wife likes the slots but I like the horses. Now I can watch them run as much as I want!” Racing patrons have their own television monitor to keep an eye on their favorite tracks plus there are big screens throughout the room and additional seating in Gumbeaux’s.
