Coushatta Associates Raise $7,500 in “Blue Jeans for Babies” Fundraiser Benefiting March of Dimes
Kinder, LA—Coushatta associates raised $7,500 for the March of Dimes, and they did it mostly by wearing blue jeans to work. Twice a week, for a period of six weeks, associates had the option to donate $5 to wear blue jeans to work for one day. For each $5 donation, the associate received a drawing ticket. At the end of the promotion, all participants were entered into drawings for cash prizes.
“We did ‘Blue Jeans for Babies’ last year for the first time at Coushatta. Our associates found it to be a fun event and they looked forward to it this year. Our associates felt good raising money for a worthwhile cause and the March of Dimes benefited financially, allowing them to further their research. It’s a ‘win/win’ for everyone,” stated Warren Davidson, Director of Slots.
On June 7, 2012, Coushatta Casino Resort associates presented a check for $7,500 to Jamie Crane, Director of the Acadiana Division of the March of Dimes Foundation. Ms. Crane stated, “I want to say ‘thanks so much’ to Coushatta Casino Resort for their dedication in raising funds for the March of Dimes.”
