Coushatta Casino Resort Associates Support "Toys for Tots" Toy Drive

Collected Toys & Funds Donated to United States Marine Corps' Campaign

Kinder, LA - Every December, associates of Coushatta Casino Resort coordinate fundraising events and participate by donating a new toy valued at or above $10, or by contributing a $10 monetary donation in support of the United States Marine Corps' annual "Toys for Tots" toy drive. This year, the total amount collected was $5,167 plus many toys. All donations received through casino fundraisers will benefit needy children in Allen and Jeff Davis parishes. Toy distribution will take place this Saturday, December 22, at the Kinder Community Center from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The United States Marine Corps Reserve "Toys for Tots" program is a national non-profit organization that distributes toys to needy children during the Christmas holidays.

"We are very proud of our associates' efforts to make Christmas brighter for children in Allen and Jeff Davis parishes," stated Larry Townsend, Interim General Manager of Coushatta Casino Resort.

Jeff Davis/Allen Parish Toys for Tots Co-Chairman Terry Courville and retired 1st Sgt. Randell Gresham, Louisiana National Guard, Vietnam Veterans of America, were on hand to accept the check in a presentation ceremony at the casino on Monday, December 17. "We love working with Toys for Tots, and these donations make such a difference - we couldn't do it without you! On behalf of everyone, we appreciate all the help we receive from Coushatta Casino Resort," stated Courville.
