A pow wow is a gathering of American Indian people to celebrate traditions and cultures handed down for centuries. People from different indigenous nations dance to songs sung in native languages, in regalia of colorful beads and textiles. Shoppers enjoy a marketplace with traditional Coushatta foods and modern regional dishes, authentic American Indian crafts, jewelry, and artwork. A unique cultural preservation experience: pow wow.
